Win One For The Gipper Bleacher Bench #28
Win One For The Gipper Bleacher Bench #28
9”x 19.5”x 1.5”
Painted on redwood seat plank salvaged from Notre Dame Stadium renovations and expansion. Certificate of Authenticity included
It’s 1928, halftime of the Army Notre Dame game in Yankee Stadium. Rockne delivers the famous “Win one for the Gipper speech and Notre Dame upsets a much favored Army team...and another Notre Dame legend is born. Ronald Reagan’s first appearance after the assassination attempt was at the 1981 Notre Dame graduation ceremony. I was lucky enough to be in attendance and will never forget the president’s final words to the audience: “Win one for the Gipper!”. This famous image of George Gipp, and his deathbed wish whispered to Knute Rockne, is painted on a rare reclaimed bleacher seat from Notre Dame stadium.
Perfect for display on desks, shelves & mantles.
