Acrylic paint on redwood salvaged from the original wood bleachers removed during the 2014–2017 renovation of Notre Dame Stadium.

The work also incorporates slate tile from the original roof of Corby Hall, built in 1893. Corby Hall, a sacred site on the University of Notre Dame campus and the primary residence of the Holy Cross priests and brothers, was demolished and rebuilt in 2018.

Also included is Purpleheart wood salvaged from benches on the Notre Dame campus, carefully preserved by Father Dan Groody and the Innovation Lab. Purpleheart, one of the strongest hardwoods in the world, has historically been used in places of worship for decades.
