Today living legend, Johnny Lujack, the oldest living Heisman trophy recipient at 97, is signing my portrait of him! My approach is inspired both by the Action Sports comic books of the 40’s and 50’s, and by his many super hero accomplishments: valedictorian of Connelsville High School! Led ND to three National Championships! (In 1943 he took over from Heisman winner Bertelli when he departed for WW2) Fought Nazi’s in a submarine! Then returned to Notre Dame and won TWO MORE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
